Activities
  1. In cooperative groups of four, students will discuss places they have traveled to in Missouri. 
  2. Teams of 4 will be formed by the teacher.
  3. After their discussions on places they have traveled they will decided as a group a place they would like to travel to together.  
  4. Students will work in groups of four to create a travel brochure of a place they would like to travel together to in Missouri.
  5. To complete your research use on-line resources provided by the teacher, reference books, textbooks, atlas, and encyclopedias.

6.  Make a travel brochure on how to use MS Publisher to create a brochure.
7.  They have a list of questions that must be answered and included into their travel brochure.
8.  Use the travel brochure template to complete the list of questions needed to complete this project.
9. This travel brochure will be evaluated with a rubric. The brochure will be printed for people to view out in the hallway.
10.  Review the  travel brochures.
11.  Students will use facts they have learned from the travel brochures and will work individually to create a three dimensional model of Missouri and plot the major cities, landforms, and rivers on their Missouri map.
12.  A rubric will be used to evaluated their three dimensional Missouri map model.
12.  Students will also research facts about the geographical landforms of Missouri through Trackstar, textbook, Internet, books, and Encyclopedia.
13. Use the graphic organizer template to compare the similarities and difference on a rural community and a cities region.
14. The graphic organizer will evaluated using a rubric.
